A two-game losing streak was long enough.

After suffering back-to-back losses, the Tribe's bats returned to form Monday night in Melville in an 11-4 win over the Millionaires.

The league's leading offense in runs per game continued to add to their tally at the expense of Melville's pitching.

Swift Current got on the board early and often, scoring a single run in the top of the first, two more in the third on Alec Humphreys' third home run of the season, before breaking the game open with four runs in the fourth.

The early run support proved to be plenty for Indians' Staring Pitcher Christian Vasquez, who retired 14 of the first 15 batters he faced before finding himself in a two-out jam in the top of the fifth.

A single, followed by back-to-back doubles caused the only blemish on Vasquez record, as his night came to an end having gone six innings, allowing two runs on five hits.

Leading 7-2 entering the seventh, the Indians put the game away for good scoring a pair of runs in the inning and then added another two in the ninth.

With the win, Swift Current has now defeated Melville all three times the teams have met this season.

The Indians (12-4) currently sit two and a half games up on the Regina Red Sox for top spot in the Eastern Division.
