The Indians hosted Melville earlier in the season

It was a balanced offensive effort as the Swift Current Indians dropped Melville 11-8 Sunday.

The road victory snapped Melville's 9-game winning streak, and was a comback from the Tribe's 5-4 loss to the Millionaires on Saturday.

Six different Indians players had at least an RBI, five scored runs and seven had hits in the victory.

Swift Current fell behind 5-0 after two innings and quickly rallied with five runs of their own in the 3rd. Melville again pulled ahead 8-7 in the 4th before the Indians scored twice in each of the 6th and 7th innings to take command.

The Indians have now won 10 of their last 12 games, and are 29 and 15 heading into the last two games of the regular season. They'll host Weyburn in a playoff preview tonight (7:05pm at Mitchell Field), and head to Medicine Hat tomorrow to play a game that was postponed due to flooding in the Gas City in June.

We'll preview tonight's game during Home Hardware's Overtime from 6-7pm on The Eagle 94.1 FM.

In Minor Ball, The Bantam AA Indians won the Regina AAA league, defeating the Regina Buffalos 7-4 in 10 innings. They have next week off and then they will start getting ready for Westerns in Swift Current.
