Indians Weyburn Spillman
Matt Spillman against Weyburn

There are only six games left on the WMBL regular season schedule for the Swift Current Indians, and five of them are on the road.

"Just take our same mentality," Carnahan said. "Come out pitch one and just play the game hard. Play sound defence, get a good start, be good out of the bullpen and just play solid baseball which we've been doing lately."

"Whether it's at home or on the road it doesn't matter we've just got to play baseball."

The Indians start their run of road games with a contest in Weyburn tonight.

Swift Current won both games against the 16-26 Beavers so far this season. The Indians have clinched top spot in the central division and could end up playing Weyburn in the first round if the standings stay as they are.

"They things are shaping up there's a good chance that may happen," Carnahan said. "You can't take anything for granted there just because we beat them twice. They have a scrappy club and they never give up and they play the game very hard."

The Indians are coming off a 2-1 loss to Medicine Hat on Monday. The loss snapped their seven game winning streak.

Our next Indians broadcast is Friday from Regina. You can hear that game starting at 6:50pm on The Eagle 94.1 FM.
