Despite the snow, Swift Current Indians baseball is just around the corner now.

The team is laying the groundwork for the season ahead.  Work continues on season tickets, sponsorship, and a new backstop at Mitchell Field.

Team President Brad Woods says the Board has been busy getting everything in order for another successful season.  He's expecting the on-field product to be top notch once again, with new Coach Joe Carnahan leading the way.  "Joe (Carnahan), has had a great off-season as far as recruiting.  I know he's excited about the team he has coming.  I think anyone that knows Joe knows he's going to continue to do everything in his power to make sure the Swift Current Indians are challenging again for a Championship", commented Woods.

The Indians open up the season on the road in Sherwood Park, an expansion team.  The home opener at Mitchell Field is set for June 2nd against Lethbridge.
