Josh Johnson has a Western Major Baseball League award to go along with that souvenir basepad he collected from Mitchell Field.

The Swift Current Indians outfielder was named the league's top player in a season where he broke the single-season record for stolen bases with 38, breaking the record with two bags in the Tribe's win over Moose Jaw on Wednesday night. Johnson was also named a first-team all-star along with teammates Fernando Pena, Sean Callegari, and Hunter Owen.

Infielder Matt Spillman was named a second-team league all-star, and Eros Modena won the league's RBI title and the Player of the Week Award for this week.

The Indians start the playoffs Friday night when they host game one of their first-round series against Weyburn.
