Canada is now at 4-0 at the Ford World Women's Curling Championships, after beating Latvia 12-6 in nine ends in Draw 7 this afternoon.

The Jennifer Jones rink jumped out to a 9-3 lead after seven ends, but the Latvians scored three in the eighth end to make it close.  Canada then scored three of their own in the ninth end to close it out.

Other Draw 7 scores had Sweden beating Japan 8-5, USA beat Norway 8-7, and Switzerland beat Russia 7-6 in an extra end to pick up their first win.

Tonight, Jones and Team Canada take on the Chinese, who got their first win over Latvia in today's morning draw.  That ended a puzzling losing streak for the defending champs.  Also, Scotland is taking on Sweden.  The Scots are coming off another blowout this morning, an 11-2 decision over Japan.

The other games tonight have Norway facing Germany, and Switzerland taking on Denmark.  Draw 8 will begin at 7:30pm tonight at the Credit Union iplex.
