A strong weekend of play for the Kabos Bantam 'AA' Broncos netted them a pair of victories and four points in the standings.

Spending the weekend in the comforts of the Fairview West Arena, the Broncos defeated the Prairie Storm 2-1 on Saturday and the Saskatoon Outlaws by a score of 4-1 on Sunday.

In Saturday's action, the Broncos fell behind 1-0 midway through the second period, but then used goals by Ryan McCleary and Rhys O'Neill later on the frame to take a 2-1 advantage into the final period.

In the third period the Broncos were able to defend off any Prairie Storm attack and hold on for a 2-1 win.

Swift Current forward Reed Jacobson, who received a game misconduct early in the third for cross-checking, did not register a goal or a point in the contest bringing an end to his 7-game goal streak and his 18-game point streak.

In Sunday's contest, the Broncos got a strong performance from Riley Dekowny who was in on each for Swift Current's four goals.

After scoring the Broncos first two goals of the games, he tallied an assist on each of the next two as Swift Current rolled past the Outlaws.

With the two wins the Broncos pulled within four points of first place Yorkton in the South Division standings.

Swift Current will look to gain more ground on the Terriers on Friday when they visit the Saskatoon Maniacs.
