Kessy after being drafted by Phoniex Coyotes

Shaunavon's Kale Kessy is ready to finally start life as a Giant.

The big forward is eligible to come off suspension and could play his first WHL game since being traded from Medicine Hat to Vancouver when the Giants play Victoria tomorrow.

Full Interview with Kale Kessy"Just develop as a player. I know I'm a tough guy I don't have to prove anything," said Kessy. "I know I'm going to be the most watched guy the rest of the year, but you can't play with egg shells in your pockets. Here your going against some sixteen year olds and stuff like that. They aren't mature yet. You just got to be careful and pick your spots. I know I can hit and I know I can fight and stuff like that so I'm just going to work harder everyday to get better and help the team win"

Kessy was suspended for a high hit on Lethbridge rookie d-man Ryan Pilon.

Kessy talked about how specifically he could improve his game.

"I think I'm a big strong forward who can take the puck to the net and be in front for tips and stuff. I'm going to work on managing the puck well and just get start off where I left off in Medicine Hat."

Elsewhere in the WHL, the Broncos visit the Kootenay Ice tomorrow.
