NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs


The Los Angeles Kings are the first team to push through to the NHL conference finals.  

The Kings completed a sweep in the Western Conference semifinal with a 3-1 victory over St. Louis yesterday. 

Dustin Brown had two goals for L.A. while Jonathan Quick made 23 saves.



The New Jersey Devils overcame a two-goal deficit and pushed the Braydon Coburn and the Philadelphia Flyers to the brink of elimination with a 4-2 victory last night

Dainus Zubrus scored two goals while Martin Brodeur enjoyed his 40th birthday.

He made 20 saves, and picked up an assist on Zubrus' final goal.





According to several reports The Phoenix Coyotes may have a new owner.

The reports say NHL commissioner Gary Bettman is in Glendale, Arizona to announce that a tentative agreement has been struck. 

The likely new ownership group is led by Greg Jamison,  the former CEO of the San Jose Sharks.
