The Max Kirkpatrick rink dropped to 3-and-3 at the Affinity Credit Union Provincial Senior Men's Curling Championships in Foam Lake, after dropping a 7-6 decision to Brad Heidt last night.

The team from the Swift Current Curling Club are in a three-way tie for third place, and wrap up the round-robin this afternoon against Gilbert Reynolds. Any tiebreakers go tonight, with the playoffs set for tomorrow.

Meanwhile, BC's Kelly Scott is in position to win her third Scotties Tournament of Hearts. She advanced to tomorrow's final by beating Manitoba's Jennifer Jones 7-5 in the 1 vs. 2 Page Playoff last night in Red Deer. Jones returns to action tonight in the semfinal against the winner of the 3 vs. 4 game between Alberta's Heather Nedohin, and Marie-France Larouche of Quebec.
