The Labour Day Classic was again a great success and showcased some great and creative golf.  The tournaments highlight is always the well known Sunday Afternoon Horse Race and this year the competitors put on a great display of shot making for all the spectators.  Blaine Kruger from Lac La Biche stole the show once again by successfully defended his horse race title.  Right behind him in second place was Elmwood’s General Manager Sheldon Reinhart and finishing third was Elmwood member Al Jahnke.

The low qualifier score this year was 68 and was shot by Elmwood Assistant Professional Brennan Rumancik, and Devon Deobald from Calgary.

In the attached picture is Devon Deobald and Head Professional Jeff Chambers(in blue), and the other is of some of the spectators watching the first tee off shots of the horserace.
