In a late-afternoon contest on Sunday that was broadcast live on The Eagle 94.1, the Kyle Elks cruised to a two-game total-point series win over the Strasbourg Maroons.

The Provincial 'D' quarter-final series saw the Elks take a 7-4 lead into the Kyle Sports Centre in front of the home crowd.

Second-period goals from Jordan Wittman, Colby Schneider, and Jesse Shynkaruk led the Elks to a 3-1 Game 2 win, and 10-5 total-point win.

Matt Richard shone in net for the Elks, making 40 saves to close the quarters.

Moving to the semis, Kyle will play Radville.

However, it's back to Sask Valley Hockey League playoffs tonight, as the Elks welcome the Delisle Bruins to town in Game 3 of their second-round series.

Having not lost a game in these playoffs, the Elks hold a 2-0 series lead after a three-game sweep of the Elrose Aces. Game time between the Elks and Bruins is 8 p.m. from the Sports Centre.
