Local Kyle curling ice maker Craig Van Buskirk is headed to the big leagues . . . even if it is only for a week.

Van Buskirk, who makes ice at the Kyle Curling Rink will be headed to Edmonton's Rexall Place to assist the head Ice Maker for the Ford World Curling Championships in the beginning of April.

He says he's looking forward to the event and says he'll help out wherever possible.

He feels ice conditions will vary a lot between a smalltown club and Rexall Place which will have thousands of spectators taking in the action.

He says he found the information out on the internet and then called organizers to volunteer his time.
