Swift Current Broncos head coach and director of hockey operations Dean Brockman inked a couple of previously unsigned defencemen to WHL Standard Player Agreements.

Chase Lacombe

The first was defenceman Chase Lacombe, who inked an SPA with the Broncos on Saturday.

Lacombe was part of the return in the Broncos' deal with the Edmonton Oil Kings for defenceman Jacson Alexander.

A product of Moose Jaw, the 6-foot-1, 194-pound 16 year-old is a former fifth round pick of the Oil Kings (101st overall) in the 2017 draft.

Lacombe has suited up in 30 games with the Humboldt Broncos in the SJHL this season, logging three assists and 71 penalty-minutes.

Devin Aubin

Meanwhile, another piece from the Noah King trade is set to become a Swift Current Bronco.

After the Broncos received forward Carter Chorney and two unsigned prospects in the deal that sent King to the Spokane Chiefs, one of those two unsigned players put pen to paper today.

Defenceman Devin Aubin signed a Standard Player Agreement with the Broncos.

The 15-year-old currently has a goal and three points in 23 games with the Grande Prairie Storm of the Albert Midget AAA Hockey League.

The 5-foot-7, 152-pound Aubin is a former fourth-rounder of the Chiefs (75th overall) in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.

Aubin's signing leaves just Kye Buchanan as the lone piece unsigned from the deal.
