Down, but not out.

Despite trailing by three runs heading into the eighth inning, the Swift Current Indians would not be denied their second straight win in Melville over the Millionaires.

On the wrong end of a 7-4 score, Thomas DeBonville reached base safely for the Indians to start the eighth innings, thanks to an error.

Following a strike out, Brett Brittany doubled, giving the Tribe runners at second and third with just one away.

Shane Dokey cashed one run with a sacrifice fly and Alec Humphreys scored another when he reached via another Millionaires error, trimming the Melville lead to 7-6.

In the ninth, a lead-off walk issued to Alex Schultz got the ball rolling for Swift Current.

After back-to-back outs put the Tribe on the brink of a loss, DeBonville came through.

With Schultz at second base, DeBonville singled to cash in Schultz and keep the Indians alive.

With the game still tied 7-7 in the eleventh, it was once again Schultz coming in to score with two-out, this time via a Luis Rivas double.

Swift Current Pitcher Ryan Pope, who entered the game with two outs in the tenth shut the door on Melville in the bottom of the eleventh, sending the Tribe to their second straight win.

The Indians now sit three games ahead of the Regina Red Sox who had the day off on Tuesday for first place in the East Division.
