Midget AAA hopefuls got put through the paces at the Credit Union iPlex

48 players recently made their case for an invite to Midget AAA Legionnaires camp next fall.

The Swift Current club held their spring camp over the weekend.

Assistant Coach Brad Woods was impressed by their talent.

"After the last session and walking through our list with a couple of evaluators," Woods said. "Yeah there's some talent. The kids worked hard, showed great skills and really great attentiveness to what we were trying to do. It's going to be important for minor hockey to get (a Head Coach) in place quickly so he can talk to these kids and get them committed to coming to the Legionnaires program."

It was a smaller than usual camp as they went invitation only this year.

The Midget AAA program is searching for a new Head Coach after letting go of Jason Johns after the season.
