Aneroid native and former Swift Current Legionnaires forward Patrick Marleau notched a notable NHL milestone Monday night.
Marleau suited up and hit the ice for his 1600th regular-season NHL game, as the Toronto Maple Leafs played host to the Boston Bruins. He assisted on the game-winning third goal in a 4-2 win.
From when he was first drafted in 1997 to today, 1,600 NHL games for Patrick Marleau.

The durable 6-foot-2 forward is now into his twenty-first season in the league. After playing 1493 regular-season games with the San Jose Sharks over 19 seasons, Marleau is now into his second campaign with the Maple Leafs.
Marleau holds the Midget AAA Legionnaires' all-time lead in points (219 in 84 games) and, with Monday's assist, now has 1143 over his 1600 regular-season games in the NHL.
Having now played in 718 consecutive regular-season games, Marleau looks to play career number 1601 against his former team tonight.
