The Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires earned a weekend split against the Tisdale Trojans, picking up a 2-1 win Sunday at the Credit Union iplex.

Josh Stang and Gage Misskey scored for the Legionnaires to rebound from Saturday's 3-2 loss.

"We had good preparation all week in practice and our boys are ready to battle, and we looked good out there," said Assistant Coach Scott Cassidy. "Right from our goaltender out. Shane Blomquist played great this weekend, our defence moved the puck up the ice and we maintained pressure in their zone."

Blomquist made 26 saves in the victory. The Legionnaires were outshot 34-27 on Sunday, but had a 40-26 advantage in shots on Saturday.

Swift Current will host the Saskatoon Contacts next weekend.

The Diamond Energy Female Midget Wildcats were swept by the Regina Rebels this weekend, losing 3-0 on Saturday and 2-1 Sunday. Brenna Thomson scored the Wildcats' goal in the game on Sunday.

They come home for the first time this season on Wednesday when they host the Notre Dame Hounds for an 8:00pm face-off at the Fairview Arenas. The home opener is also a breast cancer awareness game, with the Wildcats wearing pink sweaters.

The Kabos Bantam Raiders dropped games to two Saskatoon teams this weekend, losing 11-2 to the Generals Saturday and 6-5 to the Bandits on Sunday. They host the Regina Foxes and the Prairie Storm next weekend.

The Tarpon Energy Atom Broncos swept two games against Moosomin, winning 5-4 on Saturday and 13-2 Sunday afternoon. They head to Weyburn next weekend.
