Legionnaires Netminder Kyler Beckett faces an Argo Two-on-0 in the early minutes of the third period. Beckett made the save to keep the game 3-2.

The AAA Midget Home Hardware Legionnaires picked up a 6-3 win over the Notre Dame Argos last night at the Credit Union I-Plex.

Legionnaires Head Coach Jason Johns says the win was a product of playing an entire game.

"It was a hard fought battle. I think the boys really worked for 60 full minutes. We got outshot but, you know, I think we battled really hard and the score took care of itself."

Johns was impressed by the play of goaltender Kyler Beckett who rebounded from letting in 7 goals in under 40 minutes versus Regina last weekend buy making 37 saves on 40 shots.

"He bounced back after that 10-2 loss there, and he showed that he's the goaltender that he is."

Justin Spagrud had a goal and two helpers for the Legion while Blake Fournier found the back of the net twice.

The Legionnaires now sit in sixth place, five points behind the Prince Albert Mintos for fifth.

They now have a week long break before heading to Yorkton to take on the Harvest next Saturday.
