For the second straight year, the Home Hardware Legionnaires just missed the playoffs at the Kelowna International Midget Tournament.

They wrapped up the round-robin with a 4-3 shootout win over the Comox Valley Chiefs, and finished the tournament third in their pool, just a point out of a playoff spot.

The Legionnaires return to league action Tuesday when they host Moose Jaw.

The Diamond Energy Female Midget Wildcats returned from the Christmas break with an 8-3 loss to Saskatoon on the road last night. Jill Kennedy had a pair of goals for the Wildcats, who take on the Stars again today in the Bridge City.

The Kabos Bantam Raiders return to league action today when they visit the Regina Canucks.

In Junior B, the Cypress Cyclones lost 6-4 to the Prince Albert Ice Hawks.

In the Whitemud, the Shaunavon Badgers beat Frontier 6-1.
