The Midget AAA hockey playoff chase continues for the Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires tonight.

They're seven points out of a playoff spot as they host the 4th place Saskatoon Contacts.

During Home Hardware's Overtime on The Eagle 94.1 FM on Monday, Legionnaires Assistant Coach Larry Empty talked about keys to the game.

Larry Empey on Home Hardware's Overtime"Every time we've had success against this team in tight games it's been our physical play," Empey noted. "They're a team that does not want to play physical for 60 minutes. If we can do that, keep pucks in... we really have to forecheck hard. They have some D that turn pucks over as do all D when you put pressure on them.

The Legionnaires tied the Contacts back in December, but their results throughout the season have been inconsistent.

"Trying to get a full 60 minute effort where everybody is buying into the system in what we're trying to do keeping guys to the perimeter," Empey said. "Just playing gritty for 60 minutes... that's been the toughest thing."

It's a battle of Swift Current Broncos prospects as 15-year-old Saskatoon forward Wyatt Sloboshan was drafted by Swift Current in the 2012 WHL bantam draft, while the Legionnaires feature Broncos prospects Jordan Wittman and Reid Fritzke.

Puck drop is 8pm at the Credit Union iPlex.
