The new SMAAAHL regular season begins today for the Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires, as they travel to Wilcox to take on the Notre Dame Argos.
The Legionnaires beat the Notre Dame Hounds 5-2 on Sunday to wrap up the pre-season with a 2-and-2 record. Rookie Caleb Griffin led the offense through the exhibition stretch with three goals and six points over those four games. Returning players Connor Odelein, Tristan Hermanson and Keenan Lugt all had three points in the pre-season.
The Legionnaires' home opener is on October 4th, when they host the Tisdale Trojans at the Credit Union iplex for the first of a two-game homestand.
