A busy weekend for minor hockey starts tonight.

The Evans Brothers Home Hardware Legionnaires will play their first home game in nearly a month when they host the Regina Pat Canadians in Midget AAA action. Swift Current is coming off a pair of losses on the road in Yorkton last weekend that dropped them to 3-and-4 on the season. The Legionnaires won their last home game against the Notre Dame Argos all the way back on September 27th.

Face-off is at 8:00pm from the Credit Union iplex. The Legionnaires will wrap up the home-and-home with the Pat C's Saturday night in the Queen City.

Meanwhile, the Kabos Bantam Raiders have a home game tonight when they welcome the Estevan Bruins to the Fairview Arenas, also at 8:00pm. It will start a three-game weekend for the Raiders, who travel to Yorkton on Saturday and Weyburn on Sunday.

The Diamond Energy Female Midget Wildcats will play their home opener Saturday night when they host the Prince Albert Bears at the Fairview. The Wildcats played the Bears last weekend, winning one of the two games in PA. The game is also the Wildcats' annual "pink" game for Breast Cancer awareness. There will be a bake sale in the lobby during the game with the money supporting Breast Cancer research, and part of the 50-50 proceeds will be donated as well.

Saturday's face-off is at 7:45pm, and the two teams play again Sunday at 1:15pm.

In other minor hockey this weekend, the K-Motel Midget Hurricanes have games in Estevan Saturday night and Yorkton on Sunday afternoon, the female Midget AA Titans travel to the Friendly City to face the Moose Jaw Mavericks on Saturday, and in female Bantam A hockey, the Southwest Cyclones visit Moose Jaw tonight and Weyburn on Saturday, while the Swift Current Colts welcome the Regina Blues Sunday at noon from the Fairview.
