With the pre-season in the books, just 3 more days remain, before the Evans Brothers Home Hardware Legionnaires begin their regular season.
The Legionnaires will open their regular season, with their home opener against the Notre Dame Argos Sunday afternoon.
1st year Legionnaire forward Rin Beny, says this years team has is ready to work together.
"I think everyone is a good guy on the team. Everybody is ready to work hard for a successful season. It will be nice to get rolling on Sunday for the home opener, everyone is getting excited," he said.
Not only is the team ready to go, but 2nd year goalie Caleb Lumbard says the community is ready as well.
"I'm definitely feeling a sense of excitement coming from people living in the city and people outside the city as well. I think everyone has a lot higher expectations for the team this season," Lumbard said.
Following the Legionnaires home opener, Swift Current will travel to Notre Dame for a Wednesday night game against the Hounds.
