Zac Mackay (white) fights Dylan Baer (blue) during the split squad game

The Midget AAA Home Hardware Legionnaires will cut down from 70 players to 27 after a three-day training camp.

Team White beat Team Blue 6-1 yesterday to wrap camp up with a split squad game.

Coach Jason Johns says some vets may have to accept lesser roles if they want to stay with the club.

Johns was really happy with the talent level and believes they can do better than just contend for a playoff spot.

Now the Legionnaires wait to see if players like Zac Mackay or Justin Spagrud are able to make WHL or SJHL teams or if they will return for another year of midget.
