After averaging four points per game through the first week of the WHL, it’s not hard to imagine accolades were headed in the direction of Kelowna Rockets forward Kole Lind.

The 18-year-old Lind was awarded the CHL Player of the Week on Tuesday.

The native of Shaunavon was given the honour on the heels of scorching the Kamloops Blazers in the first two games of the season for 5 goals and 3 assists – Kelowna won the pair of contests 6-2 and 5-2.

The performance led the 6-foot-1, 173-pound right winger to initially be named the WHL Player of the Week on Monday.

Lind was drafted in the second-round (33rd overall) in the 2017 NHL draft by the Vancouver Canucks, and returned back to familiar surrounding in Kelowna from Canucks training camp just last Wednesday.

Lind and the Rockets are back on the ice this Friday when they host the Everett Silvertips.
