Kole Lind

Kole Lind took another step towards his hockey dreams yesterday.

Kelowna picked the Shaunavon product in the 4th round of the WHL Bantam Draft.

"Just an awesome feeling to finally be owned by someone," Lind said. "I was ecstatic. I couldn't believe it... it was awesome."

The Rockets have made it a habit to pick players out of the southwest. Swift Current's Colton Heffley and Mackenzie Johnston are both on the Rockets roster.

Lind knows he's going to an organization with a good track record.

Kole Lind Interview"I hear their development there is really great and it's just awesome to be part of them," he added.

So what kind of player are the Rockets getting?

"Just a guy that works hard as much as he can and does whatever he needs to do to make plays and score goals," Lind said.

He had 46 points in 20 regular season games and 11 points in 5 playoff games for the Swift Current Kabos Bantam AA Raiders.

Lind scored 3 goals in 4 games as an AP for the Swift Current Midget AAA Home Hardware Legionnaries, but he has committed to play for the Saskatoon Contacts next season.
