Today's WHL Bantam Draft saw the Swift Current Broncos take five forwards, four defencemen, and a goalie.
Broncos Director of Hockey Operations Jamie Porter said he was happy with how the draft went.
"Not having a number of picks earlier on, we were blocking where we were going to pick, where our first, second, and third picks were, and players that we had identified in the target were in those spots. I think the staff did a really good job of not getting lost of what was ahead of us, and just preparing for what our reality was going to be, and I think we did a good job there."
Porter said they had about 10 players on their list they were looking at for their first pick, at 54 overall, and they were thrilled Finlay Williams was still on the board at that point.
