The Broncos aren't alone is getting their season started today as the Swift Current Comp Colts Football Team hands out equipment this afternoon. Their lineup isn't set in stone.
"We always kind of push upon the guys that even if they have been around before they have to work for that starting spot wherever it is," said Coach Derek Murdoch. "We found some guys at spring camp that opened our eyes and were pleasant surprises."
Full Interview with Derek MurdochGrade 11 player Grady Lamontagne is penciled in as the starting Quarterback and should be ready for the starting job.
"He ended up starting four football games for us and did really well for a guy that was thrown into a tough position, but he learned a lot and threw the ball all winter." added Murdoch.
They are also hopeful they can bring their numbers up some so fewer guys have to play full games. The first practice for the Colts is tomorrow.
