The Midget AAA season is over for the Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires.

Evan Patrick had a goal and 2 assists in a losing cause as the Legionnaires fell 7-3 to Yorkton. Broncos prospect Dakota Odgers had 4 assists for Yorkton.

It was the final game of the regular season as the Legionnaires finished 9-25-7-2 to miss the playoffs.

Meanwhile, the Kabos Bantam AA Raiders beat Melville 8-2 and 4-2 this weekend to sweep their first round playoff series 2 games to none.

In female Midget AAA hockey, the Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats beat Battlefords 5-2 on Saturday, but lost 4-2 on Sunday. The Wildcats finished 6th in the league to earn a first round playoff matchup against Weyburn starting early this week.

Braden Wittmier and George Hudec scored for the K-Motel Hurricanes in 3-2 loss to the Regina Flames last night in their final regular season league game. The Hurricanes now have a third-round provincial playoff series with the Notre Dame Hounds this week. Game one is tomorrow at 7:45pm from the Fairview Arenas with game two on Thursday in Wilcox.

In senior hockey, the Shaunavon Badgers moved on to the second round of provincials with a 6-2 win over Conquest, and a 17-2 advantage in the total score.
