Lacrosse May 22

All Rampage lacrosse divisions had the May Long weekend off from league games.

However, there are five boys from the Pee Wee Rampage team that made the Southern Alberta Provincial Pee Wee "A" Sting team and have been practicing with them weekly on top of their Rampage commitments.  This Sting team is made up of kids from Swift Current, Lethbridge, Brooks and Medicine Hat. The boys are: Riley Pribyl, Gordy Johner, Tanner Funk, Kaiden Fletcher and Houston Finlayson. They had their first games together over the weekend at a big tournament in Red Deer.

They competed against teams from Red Deer, Edmonton and Leduc in Round Robin action, and were undefeated going into the Gold Medal final on Monday playing Edmonton.  They were able to capture the Gold Medal with a 5-1 win. The boys play again with the Sting team July long weekend at the Canada Cup in Calgary. This is an International tournament and will certainly be very competitive lacrosse at all levels. It is the  longest running box lacrosse tournament in the world.

The Rampage teams fire back up again this Saturday May 24th with a day full of home games. Teams from Medicine Hat and Cranbrook will be in town.  All divisions will play at the Fairview West Arena.
