The Swift Current Broncos lost a weird one in Moose Jaw last night, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Warriors at Mosaic Place.

The start of the game was delayed by an hour because of poor ice conditions, and when things finally got underway, the Warriors jumped to a 3-0 lead by the 15-minute mark of the first period.

Christian Magnus scored late in the first, then Taylor Vause got one in the third to get the Broncos within one, but that was as close as Swift Current could get.

Jon Groenhyde made 23 saves for the Broncos in a losing cause. The team made a move at goal earlier yesterday, re-assigning rookie Justin Myland to a Junior B team in BC. The Broncos now have Groenhyde and Austin Smith in net.

The Broncos travel to Lethbridge tonight to continue a three-in-three weekend on the road. You can hear the game on the Eagle 94.1 with the pre-game show starting at 6:30pm.
