Colts 3

It was another tough loss for the Swift Current Colts football team over the weekend.

The Colts traveled to Weyburn and were defeated 22-14.

The loss put Swift Current now oh and 4 on the season.

Despite the losing streak, Colts Head Coach Derek Murdoch says his team is close to breaking through.

"If we can just get a win and get the gorilla off the back, it will go a long ways. The guys are frustrated, but no one is throwing in the towel which is the great thing about our guys. I think they all realize how close we are but a win would go a long way to making a humungous difference and we are going to try and do everything we can week to make that happen," he said.

The Colts will host Estevan on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Len's Plumbing and Heating/PSI Contracting Steelers continued to win football games.

The Steelers played host to Estevan and easily improved their record 3-0 with a 38-0 win.

Competing in 9-man football, the Maple Creek Redmen fell to 1-2 on the year, losing 40-0 in Lumsden, while the Shaunavon Shadows remained undefeated with a 65-14 victory over Indian Head.

In 6-man football, the Gull Lake Lions also maintained their undefeated start to the season, scoring another win, beating Macklin 60-20.
