Adam Lowry is getting reocognition on and off the ice.

Finding a balance between hockey and school has helped push Broncos forward Adam Lowry into the spotlight.

Last year's WHL scholastic player of the year again earned the eastern conference nomination for the award.

He says it's a great honour and pretty exciting to get nominated two years in a row.

The 1993 born forward is also a two-time winner of the Broncos scholastic player of the year award.

Lowry says his parents taught him that neither school or hockey can take a back seat to one another.

He admits it's tough to find that balance, but it's very important to learn how to manage your time.

The award recognizes the combination of scholastic and on ice achievement.

Lowry scored 45 points in his 17 year old season and is nominated against Colin Smith of the Kamloops Blazers.

The award ceremoney is in early May.
