Former Swift Current Broncos captain Adam Lowry's first NHL playoff run is over much quicker than he'd hoped.

The 2012-13 Four Broncos Memorial Trophy winner left an impression on the NHL in those four games for the Winnipeg Jets.

Lowry scored the first playoff goal for the Jets since they returned to Winnipeg as he tied the game one of the series. He went on to put up three points in four games while playing a big role in an intense series.

It was a strong rookie season for Lowry who managed 23 points in 80 games on an improving Jets team.

Now the Jets face some tough decisions including what happens with another Broncos alumnus Paul Postma. Postma is a restricted free agent after playing 42 games for Winnipeg this season.

PLAYOFF UPDATE

Other former Broncos continue their push in the playoffs as Michal Rozsival and the Chicago Blackhawks couldn't close out the Nashville Predators on Thursday night. Nashville's 5-2 win forced a game six with Chicago still leading 3-2.

Broncos alumnus Zack Smith made his first playoff appearance this season in Ottawa's 1-0 win over Montreal on Wednesday. Now Smith and the Senators face elimination again tonight against Dale Weise and the Montreal Canadiens. The Habs lead the series 3-1.
