A stellar season was capped off with a Silver medal for the Maple Creek girls' curling team at SHSAA Provincials over the weekend.

The Maple Creek team, consisting of Morgan Robinson (Skip), Sydney Windjack (Third), Rayel Jamieson (Second), Madison Glascock (Lead) and coach Holly Jamieson, was at Girls' Provincials in Ituna, and worked a 2-1 record in the round robin.

Game 1 was a 13-2 loss to a Lemberg, but Maple Creek was quick to rebound.

Games 2 and 3 were narrow margins of victory with wins over Saskatoon BJM (11-10) and the host Ituna (8-7) respectively.

That set up a semi-final match against the rink from Moosomin.

Maple Creek used their biggest win of the tournament to reach the Gold-medal-game in a one-sided 9-4 victory.

In the final that same dominant Lemberg squad continued where they left off in the first meeting. Lemberg handed Maple Creek a 10-2 loss for the Gold.

Maple Creek's Silver medal follows up a recent Gold at Regionals.

Meanwhile, a fellow southwest girls' rink from Gull Lake was in the field at Provincials, but dropped all three round robin games to fall short of the playoff round.
