Two of the Western Hockey League's top scorers have been named the finalists for the league's most valuable player award.

Tim McGauley of the Brandon Wheat Kings and Oliver Bjorkstrand of the Portland Winterhawks were named this year's nominees for the Four Broncos Memorial Trophy on Thursday. Bjorkstrand led the league in scoring with 63 goals and 118 ponts in just 58 regular season games for the Winterhawks, while McGauley's 42 goals and 105 points helped his Wheat Kings to the league's best record.

Both players are in action as the WHL's conference finals get underway tonight. Bjorkstrand's Winterhawks will visit the Kelowna Rockets to start the Western Conference Final, while McGauley and the Wheaties host Calgary in the east.

The MVP Award winner will be announced on May 6th.
