Former Swift Current Broncos coach Todd McLellan will be behind the bench in Ottawa for the NHL All-Star Game.

McLellan, the Head Coach of the San Jose Sharks, edged out Vancouver coach Alain Vigneault for the final coaching spot in the game. He got the honour because his team has the highest points percentage in the Western Conference through Monday's games.

The other coaches are John Tortorella of the New  York Rangers and Claude Julien of the Boston Bruins.

McLellan served as Broncos coach and general manager for six seasons from 1994 to 2000. He was inducted into the team's Hall of Fame in 2010.
