Cabri's Shaun Meachem and Team Casey are 1-0 to start play at the 2018 Sasktel Tankard in southeast Saskatchewan.

Team Casey opened up the provincial championship in Estevan with an 8-7 win over Team Selke in Draw 2.

Skip Adam Casey discussed what he called a slow start for his team, but a solid finish.

Meachem is logging time as the team's Second, surrounded by Lead Dustin Kidby of Regina, Third Brock Montgomery of Moose Jaw, and of course Casey who hails from Charlottetown, PEI.

Meachem and Team Casey are back at it this morning at 9 a.m. in Draw 3 when they take on Team Bitz, who are fresh off a 9-2 win over Team deConinck Smith.
