It came down to the final shot in extra ends for the southwest region team this morning in the men's division of the Saskatchewan U18 Provincial Championships.

Team Behm dropped their first contest of the draw to Team Bindig 6-5 in the ninth end and now sit 1-1.

Swift Current's own and lead on the Behm rink - Theo Lautsch - wasn't overly worried about the defeat.

"A loss is a loss, it happens," he said after the game. "We forced an extra end and that's what counts, we made them throw the last shot too."

The last shot of the game was thrown down by Jayden Bindig who made a tough draw to the four-foot avoiding a couple of Behm's rocks for the win.

In the eighth end, Behm's rink held the hammer and scored a pair on wide open draw making it 5-5 to force the extra end.

Team Behm also struck for a couple in the sixth while trailing 4-1 pushing their deficit to 4-3.

The Behm rink will be back on the ice tonight at 5:30 p.m. to take on Team Ede.
