A defensive effort led to a shutout win on the road last night for the Swift Current Abbey Resources Midget AA Broncos.

In Regina taking on the Capitals, the Midget Broncos cruised to a 6-0 win on one first-period goal, a pair in the second, and three in the third.

Rhett Evjen led the way on the offensive end with two goals and an assist, while John Priela had one goal and two assists.

Brocke Herter (1 G, 1 A), Matthew Christianson (1 G, 1 A) and Quinn Patenaude (2 A) each had a pair of points as well, while Beau Larson scored.

Jacob Herman picked up the shutout W in net for the Midget Broncos.

They're in action Wednesday at Fairview West when they host the Moose Jaw Midget Warriors at 7:30 p.m.
