The winless start to the season continued on Saturday for the Midget ‘AAA’ 57’s.

Playing a doubleheader in Saskatoon against the Giants, Swift Current lost twice falling to 0-8-1.

Playing five innings in the front-half of their two games, Swift Current dropped a 12-1 decision, before losing 6-1 in the second game.

Brock Wall scored the lone run for the 57’s in their first game, while Ethan Warkentin suffered the loss of the mound.

In the back-half, Nathan McInnis finished the game 1-3 at the plate with a run scored and a walk, to go along with his two singles in the first game.

Brock Wall was the pitcher of record for Swift Current in the second defeat.

The 57’s will resume their league schedule on Saturday when they visit the Southeast Twins for two games.
