A second-consecutive split of a double-header ended the regular season for the Midget AAA 57's.

On the road in Regina against the Athletics, Swift won 9-5 in Game 1 but dropped the second contest 10-3.

Game 1 saw a steady diet of singles for Swift Current. Aside from a Nolan Klein double, the Midget AAA 57's other 11 hits were all of the single-base variety.

Nathan McInnis, Brock Friesen, and Nic Bachiu had a pair of RBI in the win, while Logan Fritzke had a trio of singles, as well as a W on the mound for Swift.

He tossed three innings, allowing a run on three hits while working five punch outs.

The second game was a short 1:22 tilt, as the host Athletics piled 15 hits on the board in the seven-run margin of victory.

Meanwhile, the 57's mustered seven. Fritzke and Wall had two each, while Mac Gross added a team-high two runs driven in.

However, Gross suffered a tough one inning of work on the mound. He allowed eight runs on eight hits and two walks for the loss.

The Midget AAA 57's finished the regular season seventh in the SPBL with an 11-19 record, a decent improvement from last year's mark of 7-23, good for tenth place.
