It was a second straight 1-3 weekend record to start the 2018 season for the Midget AAA 57s.

In Saskatoon on Saturday, Swift split with the Diamondbacks.

Game 1 saw a late 57s' surge of six runs in the sixth inning and four runs in the seventh to take an 11-9 win. Logan Fritzke was the winning pitcher, while both Nic Bachiu and Hunter Johnson posted two RBI games.

However, the momentum could stay in Swift's favour for the second game, as the Diamondbacks cruised to a 14-3 victory. Brock Wall was charged with the loss on the mound, while Bachiu had the lone RBI for the 57s in the loss.

Sunday brought a double-header at home against the one-loss Saskatoon Cubs, and the visitor's record stayed that way.

The Midget AAA 57s fell 9-1 in the first game. Brody Alexandre and Hunter Johnson each had a pair of hits in the loss, accounting for all four of Swift's hits. Alexandre also added the lone RBI, while Nolan Klein was charged with the loss.

It was a tighter second game between the two teams, as the Midget AAA 57s fell 13-10. Alexandre and Mac Gross both racked up a trio of RBI in the game, with Logan Fritzke adding a pair himself. Josh Piermantier was the losing pitcher to close the weekend.

The Midget AAA 57s look to improve on their 2-6 record with their next two games May 26 against the Athletics.
