The Swift Current Midget 'AAA' Indians opened up their 2015 Baseball Sask provincial tournament this morning in Melville.

The Midget Tribe were unable to defeat the top ranked Muenster Red Sox, falling by a final score of 6-2.

The Tribe entered the tournament as the 10th seed, following a tough year in league play, however, Head Coach Brennan Peterson feels they can still match up with anyone.

"I think we've taken our league and we've learned from it. I'm not really disappointed with our league, we played in a lot of close ball games that have been decided by one or two plays. So hopefully we have learned from those mistakes and we can build on them. Even though our record may not look that great on paper, I know that we can definitely compete in this tournament." said Peterson

Swift Current will now turn their attention to the Regina Athletics. The Tribe and Athletics will take to the field at 1:00pm, as Swift Current tries to get into the win column.
