The boys of summer took to the grass at Mitchell Field on the nicest day of spring so far.
In the opening games of the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League, the Swift Current Midget AAA Indians split a double header with the Saskatoon Giants yesterday.
Swift Current gave up 10 runs in the top of the 6th inning to blow a 5-1 lead in the opener. They lost that one 11-6.
But the Midget Indians rebounded with an 8-4 win in game 2. Zac Mackay threw a complete game for the win.
Swift Current's next action is this coming Sunday against the Saskatoon Cubs.
