A strong start to the regular season over the weekend for the Midget 'AAA' Indians.
Hosting the Regina Athletics for a afternoon doubleheader, the Indians came away with a pair of wins, downing Regina 14-7 and 5-0.
Nathan Braun went 3-3 for Swift Current in the first game, while driving 2 runs and scoring 3 times.
Meanwhile in game two, Starting Pitcher Tanner Fritzke threw six innings of shutout ball, surrendering just 5 hits and 1 walk, while striking out 9.
The Indians will resume their season this Saturday when they host the Saskatoon Giants for a pair of games.
