Midget Indians Mets

After a few weeks off of Saskatchewan Premier Baseball league play, the Swift Current Midget Indians are back on the field this weekend.

They'll face a strong challenge against the top two teams in the league when they host the Regina Athletics on Sunday and visit the Regina Wolfpack on Monday.

"We can definitely compete with them" said Head Coach Brennan Peterson. "It's going to take a very sound game a baseball to beat those teams. You can't give hitters free passes to get on base because they've got some guys that can run and hitters that can drive runners in."

Brennan Peterson Interview"So it's going to come down to throwing strikes, putting good at bats together and being aggressive on bases to put pressure on these teams."

The Indians are 9-5 in league play but lost both of their previous games against the Wolfpack.

They've yet to play the Athletics.
