Another season of Swift Current Minor Football is just around the corner, and the deadline for early bird registration is fast approaching.

Monday, June 15th is the final day to register an athlete and receive early bird pricing.

SCMF is open to males and females within the age of 9-15.

Board Member for SCMF, Darwin Gooding says minor football allows athletes to develop their skills at a younger age.

"I believe we are going into our 9th season. It's been nice to see things go full circle, being at that 8 or 9 year mark, we've now seen some kids who have come up through the program from the atom level that have just graduated. Zach Nickel, one of the best players on the Colts last season would be a good example of one of the kids who has gone through our program. It was really designed for that, not only as another option or another fun sport to play, but to help the Comprehensive High School Colts."

The SCMF season runs from the middle of August to the middle of October.

The early bird cost to register in the atom or pee wee division is $175.00, and $275.00 to register in the bantam division. The registration fee includes an equipment rental and travel costs for the bantam division.  Following the June 15th deadline, registration will increase by $25.00 for each division.
