In female Midget AAA hockey, Delaine Feil scored the winner and had an assist as the Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats beat Melville 2-1 yesterday.
It was a bounce back effort after the Wildcats lost 2-1 to the Prairie Fire on Saturday. Brooklyn Haubrich had the other Wildcat goal and Moriah Andrews made 21 saves to earn the win in goal.
In boys Midget AA hockey, the Swift Current K-Motel Hurricanes beat Yorkton 3-0 on Saturday. Connor Kennedy, Braydon Karmazinuk and Shayn Bissonnette scored for Swift Current. The Hurricanes host the Notre dame Hounds on Wednesday night at the Fairview Arenas.
Meanwhile, the Kabos Bantam Raiders fell 3-2 to the Notre Dame Hounds. Carter Tangen and and Tanner Nagel scored for the Raiders who lost despite outshooting the Hounds 45-14.
